One party rule on Beacon Hill is hurting our economy and our taxpayers. So-called "debate" over the important issues of the day is conducted almost entirely behind closed doors, out of view of the public and the media. Legislators react to news of a budget deficit with proposals for tax hikes and hundreds of millions of dollars in new spending, while the tough political choices necessary to bring our state’s fiscal situation under control go ignored.
Dan is running to stand up against wasteful spending, higher taxes and backroom governance. As an independent voice for the Eighth Middlesex District, Dan will fight to return more of our tax dollars to the local level, where we can see and control how and where they are spent. Dan will stand up for fiscal responsibility and open, accountable government.
